Our technicians are trained to look at practical adjustments first: running the blower fan continuously instead of only when heating or cooling is calling, and seasonal adjustments to supply and return vents, something we sometimes just call the Minnesota vent game, since what works in January often needs to change by July. If those adjustments don't resolve it, and your ductwork and equipment can support it, Full Time will consider adding automatic zoning dampers. We don't add automatic zone systems to single-stage furnaces. A single-stage system can't vary its output enough to make dampers work the way they're supposed to, so we won't sell you that combination even if you ask for it. If a vent or register is whistling, that's an airflow or balancing issue our technicians will check, but not every whistle has the same cause or the same fix. It depends on the register, the duct run, and the rest of the system, which is why we look at the specific setup rather than quoting a generic adjustment over the phone.
