During the inspection, our HVAC technician found a weak igniter and a weak blower motor run capacitor. The homeowner chose to have both parts replaced, so the technician installed OEM-quality replacement parts and then tested the furnace again.

Once the furnace was operating, the technician completed a combustion analysis to check carbon monoxide levels. The reading was 35 PPM, within the acceptable range documented during the service visit.

During the no-cooling inspection, our HVAC technician found a failed 30/5 dual capacitor on the east-side air conditioner. The failed capacitor was replaced, but the technician continued checking the system instead of stopping as soon as the unit started running.

When Full Time Heating & Cooling inspected a Delano home's 1984 Carrier air conditioner, the system was not running.

Our HVAC technician found a loose common wire going to the capacitor along with a failed 25 MFD capacitor. Rather than recommending replacement simply because of the age of the equipment, the technician installed the correct replacement capacitor, reconnected the wiring according to the manufacturer's specifications, and tested the AC to confirm that it was operating again.

The condenser coil also needed cleaning. Because the home's water was turned off during the service visit, the technician advised the homeowner to hose off the outdoor coil later to help prevent the system from overheating.
